Shake It Up Cafe: Where Kids Carry Out God's Recipe

We spent last week teaching kitchen fun to your kids! We enjoyed a fresh, one-of-a-kind VBS 2011 at PUMC's Shake It Up Café – where kids carry out God’s recipe. In this kid-friendly café the kids explored the Bible as a cookbook filled with recipes for living out God’s word. Through interactive lessons, that are easy for kids to apply to their lives today, boys and girls celebrated biblical festivals that revealed ingredients for being a follower of God.

Be ready for God
Give happily to God
Believe fully in Jesus
Remember Jesus often
Celebrate God forever

Our younger children (ages 4-5) were taught by Ellen Carnahan. Our 1st - 5th graders moved between learning stations. Each group had a leader or two, and each station had a primary teacher and several helpers. We're done for this year, but we'll see you again next year, for another great week of VBS!
