Our Church Staff
Rev. John Christianson
John is one of our two pastors who began in July 2004. John is a native of southern Wisconsin, growing up in Madison, with family in Richland Center, Wisconsin, and Iowa. John went to college at UW-Eau Claire and seminary at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He has served churches in Waldo, Whitewater, and Waupaca, Wisconsin. As a pastor, John especially loves preaching, multimedia worship, New Testament studies, ancient history, and working on the college campus. He is also happy to be working with his wife, Wendy, and to raise his children in a great place like Platteville.
Rev. Wendy Christianson
Wendy is one of our two pastors who began in July 2004. Wendy has lived all around the world, from Hawaii to Virginia, with stops in Panama, Turkey, Arizona, and Texas along the way. She graduated from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia, and went to seminary at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. While there, she met John and decided to return to Wisconsin with him. Wendy has served churches in Appleton, West Bend, Milton, and Waupaca, Wisconsin. Her interests as a pastor include working with children, senior citizens, preaching, and creativity in worship. She is glad to be making her home in Platteville with us.
